Track-napping?

Postby Touchstone on Fri Apr 08, 2011 3:46 pm

I received the following email from the site (merely the relevant part that concerns me):

As a start, we have pulled in your track, pictures, and a short description, but please feel free to add more to the guide as well--other members would really appreciate it. If you are not interested in adding to the guide, another community member take over the responsibilities.

I'm not so concerned about the tracklog per se, but taking my photos and assigning them to another account if I choose not to go along with this? That seems very odd to me. Can someone clarify this policy for me?

Thanks
Mike

The photos would still be attributed to your account. In the scenario that another user wanted to add more detailed information to a hiking guide (that you had not already added to), the overall guide could be listed under their account, since they added all of the detailed information, but the individual photos would remain in your account, and at the bottom of the guide it would say "photos taken by touchstone"
