Video synchronization with map location

Hello:

It would be nice to watch the videos and see the trail playback at same time.

I was wondering if is possible to create a tool to synchronize some parts of the video streaming with the positions in the uploaded track and then, during the video playback, the map location and altitude are highlighted showing the location and altitude of the images from the video.

We have worked with this some before, but we found that it is difficult to get right, since often times a video covers 2 minutes of a 4 hour track , and you can hardly see the dot moving at all.
