I realize there are issues with licensing but it would be awesome to have satellite maps available offline. There are currently no apps out there that do this and I think it would be popular for soo many users.
After a thorough google searching over the last few months I can find no apps that do this with any amount of reliability (or at all for me). What I did find though was post after post asking for this feature on various forums.
