Chronological Order

Postby jeremyjoslin on Fri Apr 04, 2008 12:26 pm

Please add the ability to sort my trips by chronological order and not just order uploaded or order of popularity. I'm starting to like everytrail and want to go back and upload all my archived trips. However, by doing this, my newest trips are buried by old trips.

Please, please, please.

Great idea, it's added to your "My Trips" page.

Thanks. Was that there before or did you just add it?

How about making that the default for people who land on my profile page? That's actually more important as I want them to see the latest and greatest and not what I dug up on my hard drive from 10 years ago.

And one more thing: I've added my RSS feed to my blog front page with great results EXCEPT the problem of chronicity. Is there an argument I can add to the RSS feed to sort by trip time? Again, thanks for the feed, but I don't want my old, archived (but recently uploaded) trips to obscure my newest and greatest.

Yeah, there is. If you add an argument order=date to the end, it should work, so it will look something like this (depending on the other arguments you have). rss.php?user_id=######&order=date

I agree with jeremyjoslin. The better solution would be to open the list of trips sorted by date by default.
Other orders could be opened with additional GET params.
