Iphone OS 4.0 compatibility?

Postby mrrajesh28 on Mon Jun 21, 2010 9:44 pm

I updated my iPhone OS to ios 4.0 today, and Everytrail free crashes when loading maps. as soon as i click on a trip, and go to the map, the application crashes out. I would like to know when you guys going to provide a ios 4.0 compatible app ?

Ditto here, same issue. I cannot use everytrail at all as it crashes every time I try and access a trip with the OS 4.0.

We have submitted a fix to apple and are awaiting approval. The iphone file system changed with the new upgrade, which is causing problems when storing pictures, it should be resolved as soon as apple approves the pending version.

Hello,

Thanks for the maintenance of the iphone app, we are waiting the Apple's approval impatiently :)
One question regarding the performance when multitasking will be available:
What is the best practice to use the app with IOS4 in a "economic way"? Even if the app will be in background, will GPS continue to work?
Sorry for the level of English, as you may know French people are really bad English speakers...

Yes, we know the limits of the french-speakers, as Benoit from Paris sits right next to me--kidding of course :)

The GPS will run in the background, there is a small icon at the top right of your phone, near the battery indicator that will let you know if GPS is active or not.

I bought Pro version two days back, and liked it so far. but I would like the Pro version to track the GPS even when its running in the background - ie. when i switch to emails or phone calls while Everytrail Pro is running, I would like it to keep tracking the GPS coordinates like mapquest app does. i assumed that it will do it in iOS 4 !, is there any plan for this ?

The FREE app seems to run fine in the background and tracks while doing other things. The PRO app does not.

Very frustrating to pay for the PRO app, go on a 50 mile ride, and launch the PRO app to see the track, only to find that it got the start and end points (which were right next to each other).

Please fix the PRO app!!!!!

Due to an oversight on our part (the omission of one line in a config file) the current version (4.0) of the Pro app does not support tracking in the background while the Free version does. We apologize for this.

The next version (4.1) is currently in review by Apple and hopefully will be approved soon. Tracking in the background works in both the Free and Pro app in version 4.1.
