Internet Explorer 8 beta

Postby hverkroost on Wed Oct 29, 2008 1:47 pm

Anyone experiencing problems with Internet Explorer 8 beta yet? I expierenced all kinds of problems, one of which is that the size of the maps do not fit in anymore. When I finished a route the map and photos that are presented can only be seen for a part with scroll bars at the side and bottom. And while I was trying to follow the steps to create a new route the map was really big and was hiding part of the text and options that you need to follow the steps correctly.
Since I could not make it right I switched the creation process to Google Chrome and that worked just fine. The problems I had were with Route 15 Akkerland, a running route in Alkmaar, Netherlands.

Yes, and I wished I would of never downloaded the damned IE8. It seems alot of sites don't support it yet, and makes it hard to view them. The only way to get it out of your computer is to uninstall it, which means uninstalling some other windows components and downloading IE7. I read how to do it and I don't even want to mess with it. Guess we have to wait until everyone else catches up with it. Either that or download Firefox. How do others like Firefox, like to hear......

I recommend Firefox.

I've been running Firefox for, I think, about 3 years now, on my Linux laptop (OpenSuSE10.2) and both sides of a dual boot (W2000/SuSE10.1) laptop. I use noscript to get rid of most of the bad-boy scripts, and it plays nicely with almost every site I have encountered. I currently have about a dozen desktop machines running various versions of Firefox on various versions of Windows, and I am not aware of any problems.
