Please post any questions/problems/feedback for the Trails iPhone application

I just purchased a 3G I-Phone 2/8/09 and bought the trails app a few days later.

I have a Garmin GPS V that I use on my ATV Rides and am happy to say that I have both units working with the every trails web-site and they all work as they are supposed to.

I can send tracks that I have recorded on the garmin to the web-site and tracks that I have recorded on the I-Phone and uploaded to every trails back to the GPS V as a new track.

The pictures that I take during a recording with trails are being saved in the I-Phone Camera Roll and can be loaded to your computer with the USB connection, they can then be uploaded to the trip on Every Trail.

My hat is off to this system as it will give ATV Riders a good way to share their trips with each other.

I have 2 trips saved to the Web-Site now as a test one by my I-Phone and the other by myGPS-V.

This track called "Superior Hiking Trail Thru Hike" does not work correctly when I import it into my phone using the trails app. Can anyone else confirm this? It might be a good debugging test if this is a problem for everyone.

hei,
good app but with problems. Free app was ok, photos with lon/lat.
But no coordinates in photos taken with Trails? Photos taken with native app are ok.
Any comments?

I've baught Trails because the good feedback on iTunes-Appstore and in the Net.

My first experience more bad than good. At half of the rout it breaks up the tracking without any information about this. So, more than 4 km are lost.

What can i do to avoid this nex time?

Apart from that the App looks very fine with its intuitive user guidance and desk finish.
So i hope it will work next time.

Hey guys,

The trails app is made by a partner of ours, so it is difficult for us to debug any problems. Photos are saved to the camera roll, but not uploaded to the trip. We are working with the creator on the searching issue, because we have noticed other users who have that problem as well. I'll post here when I get an update.

really love the combination of Trails (iPhone 3G) and EveryTrail. Could trek 1 mountain trip last week and import a old MTB trip (recorded with GPS MotionX, which is now replaced by Trails... ^^).

Worked perfectly... since yesterday! I think that version 4 release has broken the import/export function of mobile devices...
Hope that it will be fixed soon...

GPS fix on iPhone seems to be depended on the data structure and fragmentation of apps and data on the iphone. due to a little crash on my iphone (couldn't launch any 3rd party apps) I decided to backup, reset and install all from sratch...
Next to a much better performance of the iphone also great improvment to the gps fix time and quality!!! try it... and don't forget to backup before via iTunes...

Is the export function fixed with Trails --> Everytrail.
