Werribee Gorge State Park, Located between Ballan and Bacchus March, Victoria the Park covers 564 hectares of gorges, flora and fauna. It may be a small park in the scheme of things but it is still a good area to exlpore and provides some good vantage points for looking out over the Gorge and into the distant areas surrounding the park.

A perfect case of 'Not doing what is in your own backyard because it's close and you will get to it oneday'. I have put this one off and off then the floods happened and closed the park.We met at the Quarry Picnic Area on a day that was set to be 24degrees (celcius) and sunny, the day was already looking good. Heading past the long drops (toilets) we followed the track out...
I want to complete every track in the Werribee Gorge State park so while i'm here i might as well finish off the northern section. Starting from the same point as the previous walk here we continued up to the intersection of Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk and Centenary Track, headed right here and then up until we came to the Short Circuit Walk. Turning left down the track, it is an easy...
Started at Ironbark carpark.Enjoyed the easy walk down to Falcon Lookout.Followed the ridgeline down to the river. The last part was a slide down loose rocks and dirt.We then turned left and walked upstream for about 200 m until we came to a line of rocks that allowed us to cross the river.Followed the river downstream to the beautiful Needles Beach. Then continued on to the next crossing. This was a little easier...
This walk is a fairly easy one with a few short hills, the map i followed said there was a steep section approx. 500m in however I didn't think this was the case. The track is a little unstable in areas so I would recommend it for people properly prepared and able. On arrival to the Falcons lookout I came across a number of Rock Climbers, this gorge has been set...
This track is quite short but does come out to an amazing view out over Werribee Gorge, I do believe it goes down to the Werribee River but I could not find a track to continue.
This trip follows through some beautiful parts of the Ingliston Block of the Werribee Gorge State Park. The trip leaves the Ingliston Road carpark and heads for the Whitehorse Creek before heading back up to the carpark to complete the circuit. There are some good views over the Gorge and out to the Horizon on the East section of the track.
