It was colder than I expected for the month of April, but that kept the delicate spring bulbs and blossoms fresh for a long time. The re-awakening of spring was the highlight of the sightseeing.
I also really enjoyed the wide range of cuisine available. I don't mean haute cuisine, I mean Vietnamese, Lebanese, Jamaican and other neighbourhood joints. Cheap and delicious meals. Did some bicycling, but it was too cold for any extended rides.

Toronto is a big city on a lake. I too am from a big city on a lake, Chicago. I find the cities similar in other ways: historic, lots of skyscrapers, cold and snowy in December.

For this visit, I went for a walk through the beautiful downtown area. The buildings were nicely lit with holiday decorations.
