A 22-mile trail on private land connecting Pilot Mountain State Park and Hanging Rock State Park in the Triad region of north-central North Carolina; mostly flat and easy. Open to hikers and equestrians, but there may be challenging creek crossings depending on recent rains.

Nicest sections of the Sauratown Trail I've seen so far (seven down, nine to go). These sections head west out of Hanging Rock State Park -- the terrain is far more rugged on this end compared to the western end at Pilot Mountain State Park.
