San Jose Ca Road Biking Trips
We decided to try the North Side of this trail. Although it was gravel in many sections, it was smooth enough and no wheel slippage. Found a nice wind block, somebody built that was nice to sit behind and take in the view. So we eat our bananas and hydrated a little. On the way back the wind was on our backs and our speed really picked up. Click here for PIcasa...

.The Complete Coyote Creek Bike Trail End to End. This trail starts at our Parking Place by Tully Rd & Galveston Ave in San Jose. Parking is free and normally this parking lot is empty. It was 18.3 miles out and back as you would expect for a total of 36.6 total miles. Finally got a reasonable Moving Average time of 12.4 MPH and it took the wife an extra 13 Minutes...
Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Don Edward's Wildlife Ctr., crossing the Dumbarton bridge, and continuing through Palo Alto and portions of the Stanford campus.
Take your bike on BART to Union City. Turn right out of the station and right on Decoto Road. There's a good bike lane though it does narrow on the bridge over Alameda Creek. Just after crossing Alameda Creek, turn right down the incline to the Alameda Creek Trail. On this south side of the Creek the trail is paved and well used by walkers, runners and bicyclists but wasn't crowded, even...
Well we wanted to make it Bridge Week and go over another bridge. Since we only logged Dumbarton Bridge once before, we decided to try it again. This time going OVER the Hwy 84 Toll Booth overpass just to see where it took us. Well we discoverd another gorgous place to ride. Much to our surprise the dirt trails where smooth and easy to ride. We took our time and took lots of short breaks and stopped...
Another nice ride. Decided to explore the area Northeast of the Dumbarton Bridge. We have road some parts of this before, but never the complete loop. Could do this one twice and cut through the center trail, and do it in reverse direction. Not a bad area at all and the dirt trails are fairly smooth. Click Here for Fullscreen Picasa3 Slideshow. Was a nice fast an easy ride today. We might not be the fastest couple out there, but we can feel the rides getting easier every time. Plus our bikes are not light, but durable. Wife is doing very well at trail cycling. She passes me all the time these days, You go Girl. Seems it was only yesterday, when...
