This is drawn by riding a bike around San Francisco and having a GPS satellite trace my path. What you're looking at is a ride around the Mission, mostly flat except for a couple steep hills on the western side. I did this ride with my wife and five bicycle fridends. Started from Golden Gate Bridge, we went through Sausalito and Mill Valley via bike path. Then the route continued on climbing section upto Panoramic Hwy (this section was probably the steepest in the entire route). From there, we enjoyed beautiful scenary climbing up to Mt. Tam. On a foggy Sunday morning Matt and I voyaged across the G.G. in search of Ramparts. We found some with the WWII Batteries in the Marin Headlands.Nice day all around and lot's of fun on my first bike ride in years.
We decided to try the North Side of this trail. Although it was gravel in many sections, it was smooth enough and no wheel slippage. Found a nice wind block, somebody built that was nice to sit behind and take in the view. So we eat our bananas and hydrated a little. On the way back the wind was on our backs and our speed really picked up. Click here for PIcasa...

This is the short version of our Saturday Morning Bakery Ride. I leave my house in Palo Alto around 7:20 and ride to the Woodside Bakery where several of us meet. Today there were about 10, but sometimes it's just two of us. The route is decided on the spot, and is usually about 40 miles, over to the coast and back, or just climbing and descending some of the hills in...
I got up early Sunday morning and decicided it was time to get back to riding after my letting my shoulder heal after my goof ball attempt to be a cyclo-crosser/mountain biker on my flatbar road bike on my commute to work.
Siclista group put the call out for a Mt. Diablo ride. I figured this would be a good time to try out my legs and play around with...
