San Francisco Bay Area Driving Trips
I was supposed to go kayaking today but the swell was big so we cancelled the trip and, instead, we took a little Marin Headlands driving tour, including Fort Baker and the Point Bonita Lighthouse.
Approaching SF. Coming from our rural village, I love the city vibe :)
Just a drive :) Up om 101 to San Fran, down on 280 to avoid traffic and enjoy the views.
Got the car running on the 10th, just in time for the SAE Motorfest near the San Jose Airport. A long way, but the car did great. Lots of great comments at the show. We also stopped at a BFI weighing station on the way home and they allowed us to weigh the car: 1640 lbs, 200 lbs less than the stock weight, and almost perfectly balanced (50-50) front & back.

Took a long break at work with a friend. He knows this drive from his teenage days.Looked like God was shinning a spot light on San Jose and Silicon Valley. It was very clear and you could see details that where normally all hazy. Photos didn't do it justice.Nice way to kill a lunch hour if you work in Milpitas..
Lots of stops this morning, but got a surprising amount of work done! What a great way to start the week :)
