Popular Trips in Salmon, Idaho
Certainly one of the most beautiful hot springs in Idaho.I spotted this hike about a year ago and I finally decided with my wife to go and do it. After a 3 hours drive from Idaho Falls, going through the desert, beautiful mountains range and a sweet little canyon, we arrived at the trail head just before sunset. Quite a few cars are already there and we get on the trail as fast...
Some of the sweet single track accessed from the Wagonhammer Trailhead.

Michael sees a good line but does not want to risk another swim. We wait for another group of boaters to follow and aid if needed. The wait seemed to last forever. The Middle Fork was...
We put together a lot of the Dump area single track on this ride then dropped in to Mulkey Creek. What a great trail that is! Great trail but lots of stream crossings. Next time I will bring pruners and a saw and clean the trail up a bit.Too bad there is not a better public access (Actually...see Tips below) to Mulkey than the steep drop from the ridge behind the Dump....
Headed south on the CDT w/ every intention of riding out and back until dark. Hit too much snow to continue after ~5mi. Turned around and dropped down to Copper Queen mine then up to the Ghoul Basin divide on the Lewis and Clark Trail. Finished up w/ the hot climb back to Lemhi Pass. Will be back in August when the snow is gone.
