This is a relative easy hike from the rim village to discovery look out. I went beyond Discovery point but turned back just shy of the Lightning Spring. The trail has wonderful views.
If you don't want hike or don't have time this would be the easiest way to enjoy the scenery of Crater Lake - drive along the Rim drive.
Short walk to see the deep blue of the Crater Lake. Much better view than the next notch.
This is a two hour boat tour around the Crater Lake. You can enjoy different perspectives to the lake and the rim.
It was a nice hike to the peak just east of the Rim village and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Mount Scott is the highest point around Crater Lake. Very good view arund the area.
