Well, this is harder to find than one might think. We missed the trailhead and started down the NF road towards East Tanner. The bridge is out so that was a fun hike anyway. Also, some of the signs say Tannen Lake and some say Tanner lake which is a bit confusing on the drive in.
Day 6 - Sumpter to Ukiah. The cold spell continued, with the sky an ominous grey that continually threatened rain, but fortunately never delivered. This day the uphills were almost nicer than the downhills since climbing meant a chance to warm up a little. Forecast for the evening low was around 38F - a lot more long pants and jackets worn around camp in the evening then the first two days.
