Today was a great day for this hike. We started at 12noon and ended at 5pm. We started off by hiking the Ray Miller Trail which is the most uphill hiking you will do on this hike and great to do in the beginning when you are fresh.  Although, it was very foggy off the coast and unfortunate that we didn't get to see the beach below the fog was very pretty to...

Too slippery to descend the Mugu Peak Direct Trail, so descended the trail to the north and circled back to repeat the Direct ascent. With about 50 lbs in the pack this was a great workout.

Ten of us this Sunday hiking on this trip to acquire 30 geocaches.  We had to take a few side trips to make sure we got them all!  The first mile was an 1100' elevation gain.  The rest was mainly downhill.  Nice sunny day in the 70's with some patchy clouds.  Nice breeze kept the gnats and mosquitoes off of us most of the time.  Final trip length was roughly 10.5 miles...
