Popular Trips in Peak District National Park
This had planned to be a circular trip, coming back over Hollins and Lose Hill to Hope. But unfortunately an old war wound in the form of a dodgy hip meant we cut the walk short at the pub in Edale and caught the train back to Hope station where the car was parked.

Ande, John, Tim & me went for a training hike at Stanage Edge, Hathersage in the Peak District today (7th Feb 2010). Weather was cloudy/misty, minus 1 to 2 degrees and it even started to snow and hail on us halfway round the loop. Did some uphill scrambling, a hilltop walk with large ice-routes to navigate(!), some downhill running and the final uphill slog back to the car where we had some lovely...

Solo trip over Kinder Scout.Parked in Barber Booth and walked up to Upper Booth Farm before heading towards Jacobs Ladder.Several stops and lots of panting later at the top of Jacob's Ladder.Walked along the ridge to Kinder Low, checked out the trig there before carrying on round to Kinder Downfall.Just a trickle down today.After a bite to eat headed up the River Kinder, past Kinder Gates to the summit.Headed towards the Woolpack...
This trip starts and ends at the Hope Railway station. The GPS decided to switch off for a bit of it hence the lack of stats for a couple of miles!Starting off at the station the trip takes you into the village of Hope and into Castleton via a well defined path.
