Nice hike for the fall of 08. Beautiful vistas.
Hiked on the Ridge, Valley and Cacades trails. Checked out the sway bridge. (The data here don't show my return hike which included going through the clearing on Morning Choice trail.)

This is the version for our hike leaders to use. There are pics and directions for every intersection and turn which should make the navigation much easier. Please never use this in place of a map and compass as electronics can always fail! Enjoy the hike and there are lots of feeder trails in this area for you to explore in addition to hooking up with Patapsco State Park. There is also...

This is one of the few trails that I know of in Maryaland that is not...
4.6 Miles Start Time was 10:30 and end time was about 1:30. We went right about an average of 2 mph so we were right on track! Perfect day for a hike and I really enjoyed the group I hiked with today.

The area is very easy to hike, the trees are tall and block out enough light so there are almost no bushy invasive species that slow you down. I started at the Ilchester parking area of the Patapsco State Park.I find this area of St. Mary's school riveting. The beginning of the...
Rockburn Branch Park has a plethora of trails and off-trail trails to suit the needs of all. Sadly, I accidently turned off my gps and did not record it all but it was a great day for a new trail.
