In lieu of enjoying the new pow in tahoe, I took Katya for a run in the rain.

This is one of our great default short hikes. Mainly shady, with just a bit of exposed sun once you get to the top of the preserve and the barn. But at least there you get some great 360 degree views and get to see horses.

A brief jaunt to one of our usual haunts during a break in the weather (a particularly rainy couple of weeks in the Bay Area). Naturally it was a bit muddier than usual, but we had the right shoes. Taking the right fork up to Byrne Park Lane was definitely a good idea as it was a bit drier than our return on Artemas Ginzton Path.
