We took a short trip to Oslo, on our vacation in Sweden (Region Värmland). We walked around for 2 or 3 hours to see something of the city. As I am intrested in architecture I had to visit some places, that were important for me to see. That was the Oslo Town Hall (Rådhus) and the new opera. For the opera we took the car.Parking is not so easy and here one tip: Don't use the parking-garage of the central bus station. I think that was the most expensive parking-garage in whole Norway...We walked over the Oslo castle (Oslo festning), walked near the architectural museum, central town hall, the Nobel-prize-house. Viewed on the royal castle (Slottet) and from here you have an amazing view on Oslo with a big parade-street to the city, very good! Then we took a walk through the shopping-street and back to the central bus station. After this came my highlight, the new opera of Oslo. Build from the norwegian architects snöhetta. A stunning and amazing building. We took one hour to view it from the outside and the public inside. The main opera room wasn't open for the public. When you have good wheather and sunshine I recommend sunglasses or better snow-glasses. The white marmor of the whole outside is so bright for the eyes that my wife has to leave after a while. Our meaning is, that we have to return to Oslo to get better in touch with the city. I enjoyed the short trip.

Bright morning after a rainy night. I took a early visit to the operahouse in Oslo before there are too many people there. I just could not let the opportunity disappear. This day is the first without heavy traffic in that area. The traffic is from now in underwater tubes. The area nearby Oslo Opera building will become a green park, I hope.
Bright and cold early morning! I had the opportunity to steal my wifes camera again so I took a short walk around Oslo center. This sculpture is ambulatory or temporary, I think. It has moved from Bergen:http://www.kunstmuseene.no/?side=nyheter&art=739&enhet=kunstmuseum&sp=1
