It is great watching them take off and land.The walk starts at the National park visitors centre this can be reached by car but can also by bus from Helmsley bus fare £1, the service is operated by The Moors Bus.

Parked on High Street outside Thompson. Incline at beginning up to smalll mast relay station then downhill all then way back via Codbeck reservoir where people were fishing and walking their dogs etc. Terrible traffic jam at end with a bus and caravan going in different directions but still trying to use single track. Walk will be quicker than time listed - forgot to stop the timer at the end.Pleasant walk - not...
A great morning autumnal walk full of bright sunshine and no rain for a change. Started at Helmsley in North Yorkshire UK and follows part of the Cleveland Way before getting to Rievalux Bridge and then on through forest trails and back round to Helmsley
