Hooked up with John who we've met a few times in Whistler and Moab to check out some Sedona single track! We also stopped by Fat Tire Bike Shop, owned by Dave Cichan who is incredibly knowledgeable about bike suspension especially and bikes particularly. Brenda and I take a short hike around the Cow Pie on a nice rainy day. I put my camera in a new ziploc bag to keep it dry - the results were so-so and required much processing to be marginally presentable. Day 4 of a 4 day circuit through Zion National Park, Marble Canyon, and Flagstaff. I am on my way to business meetings in Sedona, and as I pull into the beautiful red rock valley of Sedona I begin to wish I had started and stayed here, hiking and climbing. Park at Bell Rock Path trailhead, Big Park Loops, Bell Rock Path north to Bail Trail, south on Llama Trail to Courthouse Butte Trail, back to Bell Rock Path, south to Big Park Loops, back to start.
I now know why Sedona is thought of as the hiking capital of the country. Every type of hike is avaialable and the weather always seems to cooperate. And perhaps most importantly, the views are spectacular. I've probably been on hundreds of hikes, but this one ranks in the top few and I was particularly happy that Triple-E consented to join me. On this day We decided to go down to Sedona and tackle a Geocache that we have been wanting to grab for almost 2 years. We just had to wait until Johnny got a bit older.Today we grabbed it and one other Geocache along the Courthouse Butte Loop trail.
