Mount Rainier National Park Mountain Biking Trips
Rolling Thunder is the annual mountain bike epic that my buddies and I try to schedule each year, and this year it took us to The Palisades Trail off of Highway 410 between Greenwater and Mount Rainier. One of our participants was not riding and he graciously offered to shuttle us from our starting point at the Skookum Flats Trailhead near Bear Creek up to the Noble Knob Trailhead at Corral Pass....

This was an amazing ride! The 20 mile round trip ride was well worth it. We climbed up FR 7174 to the top of the road, then picked up with the single track. There are a few forks in the trail, so it's critical to find some detailed maps on the Evergreen website. We then descended the Palisades Trail, for some remarkable singletrack. Afterwards, we hooked up with the White River Trail....
