Another anual trip up to Mt.Pichuck with the girls. We put a twist into this year and decided to see the sunrise. Started out at the trail head at 3:30 am and make it to the lookout in a little under 2hr. The sunrise was something to behold! What a beautiful site. Here it is August and we encountered virtually non-stop snow from about midway up the mountain to the summit!
The Venture group went on Hike to Lake Twenty-Two. Rob was the leader,George, Tonia, Terri, Karen, Sonia, Bonita, and Ola went along. We started the hike at 10:30am. This trail was a low incline, easy hike. Along the way are old railway artifacts and an abandoned lime kiln at the trails end the trail loops around a nob hill and there is a small extension to where the old bridge used to be. The cement stanchions are still there.
