Near the peak of the southward grey whale migration, we went out to look for whales. We saw some spouts in the distance and then saw whales up close, in some cases people were within 50' of a surfacing whale.
Two of us made a 20 mile paddle around the Monterey Peninsula and back. We were joined by three others who made half the trip - to Cypress Point and back. Conditions were amazing - no wind, small swell, occasional fog.
Caleb, Lindsey and I did a kayak trip with the Kayak Connection via Santa Cruz Parks and rec. It was My third time in a Kayak. Caleb's second and my Lindsey's first.
