Sierra Club snow camping Group 4 1st trip.On the way in, we took a more direct route from the bridge to our intended campsite using a compass bearing. On the way out, we followed an existing trail along the stream.
We skinned up the east side of Red Lake Peak to attain the ridge. After tagging the summit we headed back towards the top of the east face for the ski down.

The Desolation Dozen returned from their trip to Mammoth Mountain and decided to do an easy hike today. I, however, decided to make challenging for the Jindo dog and me. When the rest of the group headed back I headed up to the nearest peak. Peak bagging is not usually my thing but the scenery and rock formations were just too tempting.
