As with most mornings, we woke up early to go in search of Kate's first petroglyphs on the Petroglyph Trail in Mesa Verde National Park. The main trail head was closed, so we started to follow a path that was only marked by cairns. Unsure of where it was leading us, we followed until we felt it was getting too far to turn back in time for our Cliff Palace tour. Joseph continued...
