This is a story of two hikes, really. I took the nature trail (skip it) to Pomponio. Heading out on a fire road the trail was wide and there was much to see. It was a relaxing walk, with a lot of vegetation, shade and a slight uphill grade. But once I started the loop back toward the ranger station the trail changed to overgrown single-track. It wasn\'t much fun, to be honest....
A nice day hike. On this day, the temperature was down in the 40s (in May!) which kept us hiking pretty much the whole loop without any longer breaks.
