Lover's Leap, California

Lover's Leap is best known as one of the premier granite rock climbing in California.  It is also famous for its position along the old Pony Express Route and offers a great hiking trail directly on the original route.  Lover's Leap is in the El Dorado National Forest located off of Highway 50 in the town of Strawberry.  There is paid camping and dogs are allowed.  Some noteable climbing routes are:Bear's reach (made famous by the Dan Osman Free Solo Video)The LineSurrealistic PillarTraveler Buttress
