Spur of the moment hike on a beautiful afternoon.
I cut this hike short because this trail turns out to be a favorite among mountain bikers. Which is fine, I just wasn't in the mood to keep scooting to the side every two minutes. Peter's Creek trail runs along Skyline for a bit so you get a little car noise. But the loop back on Long Ridge Trail is nice.
San Jose Mid-Week Hikers enjoyed a nice hike along the ridges. We saw a dozen or so deer along the way. We hiked in a clockwise direction going out Peters Creek Trail then Ward Road to the Ranch Spring Trail then returned via the Long RIdge Trail.
