A very easy family walk around Manzanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic NP. The eastern portion of the lake features an interesting little inlet, while the western side provides awesome views of Lassen Peak.Fun for kids to explore.
After climbing down from Brokeoff Mountain, we went for a short but steep hike. 2 miles return trip, but 1000 feet elevation gain, so quite strenuous, especially at this altitude. The trail starts at Sulphur Works, on the main park road.
