This is a lovely walk in any weather - but better when clear (it was hazey for me!).The walk included no less than 4 Wainwright Fells - Catbells, Maiden Moor, High Spy and Castle Crag. Each of them with different characteristics, and each of them well worth it. the best in the Lake District. I think we would have gone on this
route even without the Wainwright Walks being repeated on TV, but I
suspect it was responsible for hundreds of others being there!
Ennerdale is promoted as 'Wild Ennerdale' by the marketeers, being free of vehicles.
