Very nice mountain biking trail. Amazing views on the Ocean. I tested my new toy, a helmet cam, today. It worked pretty well.
Its a nice easy hike and the 3.6 miles seems to go by very fast. There
are some other points of interest and trails in the area that you don't
get to see on this hike including Borel Hill (2,572 feet elevation -
the highest peak in San Mateo County). In addition, some of the other
trails in the park (Alder Spring, Hawk, Mindego, etc) would make nice
spur routes for a longer overall hike. That being...
Great Saturday morning hike with Caroline, Nicolas, Arthur, Mia, Laura and Rasmus. Warm day! We were roasting in the sun already at 9 AM. Nice trail, good views on the Bay, and suited for dogs, strollers and 2 year olds!
A very nice hike with great views. Highly recommended!

Russian Ridge was a treat for me, with lots of varied terrain, little traffic and nice trails. I parked at Vista Point and followed the Mindego Trail out to the dead-end, just below Mindego Hill. On the way back I looped around the Ancient...
A brief walk with my dog and three-year-old son. This is the first trip I recorded using "My Tracks" app on Android. It started to rain as soon as we got out of the car, so we got back in and had lunch. It cleared up soon thereafter, making for a nice hike. Had to carry the little guy on my shoulders for the trip back uphill.
70ºF weather brought a bunch of people out to Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve on a gorgeous Saturday in February.
