This leg of the hike was more interesting; part of the route follows a stream and there are several footbridges. I only saw three other hikers.

First posting here! The Hiking Hound and I did a two-fer, starting with the 1.5 mile paved trek on Battleground Trail. History buffs might enjoy the monuments and reading the signs telling the story of the Revolutionary War battle fought on the site. There were a lot of families on this loop trail, even in the dead of winter.
