A weekend trip up to Big Pine Lakes. We hiked in and camped between first and second lake for three days. We did a day hike up to Sam Mack Meadow.
This was a great trip to Mt Whitney summit in the snow up the Mountaineer's Route. During the summer, this route is a scramble up a rocky chute filled with loose rock.
