Our ambitious plan was to head into the Palisades, climb four 14ers, and Temple Crag on our 5 day trip. Although our odyssey did not succeed in completing our crazy plan, we did tackle two classic sierra routes to the top of two 14ers.
Spike, Skydog and King hike Mt Whitney
4 person climb of the West side of Mt Williamson. Started just west of Lone Pine, up Shepherds Pass across Williamson Bowl and then up the West Face. The final section is a pretty easy class 3 climb for about 50'. Not much exposure for that section. Overall this is a long hike. It is 11 miles to Shepherd's Pass and lots of vertical. Probably the toughest part is the Williamson bowl....
