Harrison Hot Springs is a small community found at the south end of Harrison lake, with the Coast mountains to the west and the Cascade mountains to the east. While only 90 minutes from Vancouver it offers incredible natural beauty, unspoiled wilderness and wildlife and great natural hot springs. It has a variety of good hiking trails in and around the Village with something for every level and interest.

Decided to take a short hike after a short day at work while I was in the neighborhood. A nice slightly sunny day and I remembered Harrison Lake being turquoise the week before and thought a top view would be nice. Hike starts just south of Harrison below a water tower and progresses through thick berry bushes, then rocky edges, then scenic forest with amazing rock outcroppings and tonnes of small animal...
Leaving from the Harrison Resort the easiest trailhead is found 30 metres past the hot springs source on the left hand side. A short switch-back will take you to the main trail that climbs the mountain. The first 150 metres are the most difficult. A short forested walk under moss covered trees, pas old lamp posts and over 9 or so bridges, many with stairs. Start in the front of the Harrison Hot Springs Resort Hotel and walk to the back of their parking lot.
