I hiked to Rainbow Falls on the west side of in Gorges State Park in Transylvania County, North Carolina. Note I only hiked to Rainbow Falls; there area couple more waterfalls if you stay on the same trail. Hike writeup to come at Two-Heel Drive

This hike has been completed 3 times now, this was the first time that we attempted this hike purely for the sake of birds present. Our target species was the Black-throated Blue which had already left sadly, but we managed to pick up another target species, Ruffed Grouse. I did this trip with a 28 lb pack. The trail is very relaxing. One section required a creek crossing (see pics).
