This is one of the most scenic trails in the North Cascade. Among the few trails that get inside of North Cascade National Park, this is the only one that starts within the national park. The trail is about 8 miles round trip to the Cascade Pass and additional 4 miles to Sahale Arm.

Hiked up to the summit on Saturday Aug. 21,2010. This hike is very challenging. It has a long approach and a big surprise toward the summit. Most of the hiking books label this as a class 2/3 scramble. It definitely has this. What was not mentioned, is that the scramble takes a while to accomplish.
