A source of civic pride in Portland, it...

Here is a walking tour from the parking lot up to the garden and then thru the five different zone. (Flat Gardens, The Strolling Pond, The Tea Garden, Natural Garden, and the Rock Garden).I tried to balance the photos between \"experiential\" (what its like to take the walk) and \"scenic\"...
Hayley and Andrew took sophie and serena on a pre-dusk spring hike to see the magnolias in bloom.
The gardens are within Washington park near the Hoyt Arboretum. Lots of hiking trails criss cross over the entire park but today I headed straight for the gardens. There are 5 gardens and lots of neat stuff in between, nice stroll for an afternoon.

Not a long trip, but very relaxing and comforting. Next week, they will have an Ikebana exhibition there, and the week...
