Troop 363 from Orlando, FL went on a hike at Fort De Soto Park. The hike included observing cannons and the bunkers at an old fort, some basic orienteering and finding a geocache at the end of the hike.
Overall great trip! Best so far! This is the third time that I have done this and it was a blast. Saturday is always great however, the past 2 trips Sundays have gone horrible wrong in regards to weather. Not this time! We awoke to a picture perfect morning on the beach.If you look at my other trip you will notice that we camped in a different spot this time. It worked...
So I wanted to do a little something differant for my friends for my birthday trip so I selected this trip as none of my friends have ever done anything like this. If you come to Florida you have to try island camping! You can only get to this island by boat or ferry and there are no facilities at all and dont forget the permit that you need inorder to stay...
