Two days camping and trail running organized by SwitchBack Adventures. Base camp on Gold Lake. One loop run around the lake on Saturday (about 10 miles) and then a run to the top of the Sierra Buttes on Sunday (about 9 miles). Incredible views all around. Gold Lake was cold but felt great after both runs. Some great 4WD opportunities, dirt biking, canoeing and hiking as well. Switchback also showed us a...

Nice and easy downhill :) Good scenery
Just a quick hike up to Upper Sardine Lakes after we wisely aborted hiking to the top of Sierra Buttes fire lookout at 5:30pm.

A very nice, short hike in the Sierra Buttes / Graeagle / Gold lakes region. The two lakes are simply beautiful.
