This weekend Hartz and decided to tackle Diamond Peak after hearing great things from Quin about his trip a few weeks before. I forwarded a link to Hartz of Quin's photos but refused to look at them myself as I wanted to be surprised on the mountain. I switched shifts with a friend at Ruby's so I could get out early on Saturday night allowing us to start driving to Diamond around...
Sometimes the trail is a little unclear especially the first section
through a swampy area, but a great hike in dry weather (sans mosquitos)
This was an unusually cold and rainy trip to some small lakes that are located just below Mt Yoran. Divide Lake is known for its great reflections of Mt Yoran.. Unfortunately, it was too cloudy to see Mt Yoran (or even Diamond Peak)... but there was some great reflections of the trees on the lakes along with the "fog" rising from the lakes...
