My wife and I took our Labrador pup on a backpacking trip through Congaree.  The weather was perfect for January, warm sunny high 60's in the day, and then high 30's at night.  We started at the Cedar Creek Canoe access, Kingsnake Trailhead, and hiked over to a portion of the Weston Lake Loop, camped where the Oakridge Trail meets the Big River Trail.  Went for the Big River Loop without our...

Nice Park, easy to get around. All trails are well marked. The whole area is flat. It is a nice walk through the woods. Weather was great during a Warm January.

Loved going on the Kingsnake trail and saw tons of wildlife. Beware of wild hogs.....they're out here! Would not recommend bringing dogs with you on this trail for that very reason....especially small ones.
