Sierra Club trip led by Stan Goodman from the trailhead near Acalanes High School on the Lafayette Ridge trail to Russet Peak. We had a lunch stop on the peak and then returned on the same route.
I started this trip at the Briones Rd. trailhead. Briones Rd. is a narrow winding road, so be careful on your way up and down.
Nice hike for a foggy day. I peaked above the fog several times, for views of Diablo and the Valley.

Another beautiful hike by Wilma's group of Wednesday Hikers - this one led by Lois. 26 hikers showed up on a breezy but sunny day to enjoy this loop through the northeastern portion of Briones Park (part of the East Bay Regional Park District). Unlike many trails in the park, this loop was largely shaded and would be enjoyable even on warmer summer days.

Taking a hike with my friends Rene, Royce, and Bobby. The day started out overcast and drizzly, but the clouds burned off fairly quickly and made for a very enjoyable trip.

At two and a half, Ella made it 0.6 miles and 600 vertical feet before asking to be carried. Awesome job Ella! Ella probably went double that distance since she was running after the dogs the whole time.
