This is an interesting hike to three nice features. First, you come to an old manganese mine. It's about 50 feet in depth, and it's quite safe to enter. There are a few skylights cut into the rock that let in light. You can see some rails in the ground from small ore cars.Continuing on the trail, you approach Liberty Bell Arch, a natural erosion of rock that resembles the Liberty bell....
Started out a bit late in the day (8am) so it was warm by the time I was returning from the river bed to my car. Trying the Trails iPhone app - so this is the return leg of the trip. A fairy easy hike going to the river because it is mostly a gradual down hill trip. Coming back was all uphill, and very loose gravel.
