Just a quick weekend trip to Big Bear.
Temperatures were forecasted to be in
the 100’s for the weekend in Southern California, so to beat the heat we headed
up to Big Bear where temperatures were expected to be in the mid to upper 80’s.
The plan was to check out the Big Bear Discovery Center, take a stroll on the
Woodland trail, drive down to the South Shore for lunch, and afterwards hike
the Champion Lodgepole Pine trail and a portion of the Siberia...
We snowshoed a popular closed off road in San Gorgonio. Off Jenks Lake Road is a road that used to stop near Poop Out Hill. When there is snow it's great for both cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
