Nearby Community Trips
Wonderful trip into the UP of Michigan. Trails were easy and mostly single track. Lots of opportunity to swim with your horse. Swan Lake has the footing for horses. Triangle Lake is usually ok to swim in with your horse as well.
This was a continuation trip from last year. We hiked the western half of the trail and first saw the Adirondack
shelter at Rim Lake.
One year later we decided it was time to head to the U.P. once again and it was time to see the rest of what this trail system had to offer. With an extra day and a goal to visit and stay at all three of the Adirondack shelters...
