Community Trips
A nice winter's day hike around Arastradero with a little side trip into Foothills park in an ill fated attempt to do some of the Bay to Ridge trail. I turned left to gain elevation when I should have gone right and down to pick up the Ridge trail. I did get to see Panaroma Point as a result of my mistake so got some nice views of SF and beyond including...
Late afternoon bike ride with Nicolas. Still pretty hot.
Matt, Matt's son, Ben and I had a great day caching at Arastradero. I hadn't been there since 2003, so it was good to come back.
A few laps around Arastadero with my friends Thomas and David. Too bad I don't have any elevation data...oops
Fell hard on this run. Will my hip recover? ;

Another comparison of the iPhone GPS (PMB 2525 Hammerhead II GPS) vs the Garmin eTrex Vista HCx GPS. The result: this time around the Garmin was the clear winner. iPhone was set to take a point every 10 seconds and keep that point if it was more than 10m from the last point. Next time, I'll be setting it to maximum battery-killing every second recording.http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=http:%2F%2Fhomepage.mac.com%2Fbheliker%2FKML%2F20081105Arastradero_GviP.kml&ie=UTF8&ll=37.386918,-122.176723&spn=0.01098,0.017767&t=h&z=16(Photos are shots of the trail damage caused...
